Today is all about the energy/oil industry. This is an area of the economy that continues to grow by leaps and bounds. With the government acutely focused on making us all more conscious about our energy choices it'll only continue to grow. I'll be starting by focusing on the large scale residential marketplace - reading articles, scouring the web for insightful posts, etc. While money is tight in every industry this one seems to be doing ok..... ready, set, go.

Back again. Was reading an interesting article today about how big businesses should act more like small businesses. I agree and couldn't help thinking of the untapped power of operating a good local online business. I know I know... google local, yahoo local, etc. etc. they exist but Fortune 500 companies can learn from the local guy.. Everyone buys local in that transactions are always made right in front of you... whether in person or online. It's always local. Big, national brands need to serve needs on the local level. The internet is the perfect channel to scale the operation of acting local (if ever there was an oxymoron it's a sentence with scale and local). But it can happen and it should.

Thanks Antoinettes

So here I am finally getting around to establishing my blog. I've been wanting to do this for a while and now I'm in. Fully in. Not sure exactly where it'll go but I I've got lots of excitement.

Been reading lots of other blogs and I think the time has come. What really inspired me was today while sitting having coffee with Stella (ok, she was having a hot chocolate, no having a corn muffin) I watched as the friendly baristas at Antionette's knew everyone's names and spread such good vibes. It made me think - could I open a store and leave my mark in a different way - that lead me to this.

Off we go!
